Twitter Time!

Don't know if anyone is interested, but I signed up for a Twitter account last week to find out what it was all about. Now that I understand it better, I'm publishing it, in case you want to 'follow'. (Not that I'm writing in it very often, or is all that fascinating....).
You can find me as: solaris_synth (I know, what a surprise!)

I'm following you at Twitter.
I feel like I'm a stalker or something............
My son's using Twitter and gives me way too many details, like when takes a dump at the Mall, etc.
Thankfully your posts are Solaris related.
Good Luck @ Messe.

Interesting....I have been trying to add solaris_synth on twitter all morning, but they are not allowing me to add anyone. The system is "stressed out!"
Would love to hear some 'Messe reports!

Take a back door approach..
I did a search for JohnBowen on twitter and it was kind of cool seeing other Solaris geeks and videos.
I think we'll see lots of cool stuff really soon.

OK, now I am on, and see I haven't missed anything the past few days...I imagine JB is trying to rest up for the 'Messe, which starts in a few hours. Out here in Pacific Time, I will hopefully wake up to much news......!

No twitter, myspace or facebook here.
I can remember when, if you were called a twit, it wasn't a good thing.

Is it me, or has it been pretty quiet at Messe?

Well it's just a Mini NAMM...................
There are a few worthy new items.
Maybe they'll start having a few warm brews and loosen up Friday.

Hi All!
Yes, the general feeling is that attendance is down. Most of the new stuff was shown at NAMM, and so the feeling seems to be that Messe just isn't as necessary as it used to be. Digidesign is not here, no Native instruments, G-Force software, Dave Smith instruments, Access Virus (although Access head guy Mr. Kemper did come by to look at the Solaris again

)...and several others did not come.
Today brought more people than yesterday (well, yesterday was the middle of the week after all). I did make several new acquaintences, synth people who came out just to see the Solaris. After reading so much about it, watching the videos from other shows, plus the YouTube ones I've posted, several 'synth addicts' made there way from Russia, Poland, Austria, and Switzerland, to see if the Solaris was really 'all that'. I'm happy to say that, within 5 minutes of playing sounds each time, the response was typically a broad smile, followed by a statement of desire to purchase as soon as possible.
Two more days to go...with Saturday usually the craziest, as the public is allowed to attend (after buying a ticket, of course). Then it's a quick pack-up and back to Siegburg for a late Saturday night return.
cheers,
john b.

How's Friday JB ?
I am hearing about XITE-1 and Solaris from the Rompler Room Guys @ NI.
The old editor from a long gone keyboard mag has his own online subscription w/ a Messe report, a couple of interviews and exciting news about Vienna String's new stuff.
The fact he mentioned you guys was good news.
What am I missing out on?
