Ok, well if this helps provide more insight, I actually had a beta OS version of 1.3 (may have been 1.3.1) that JB sent me previous to this 1.4 update... so, I guess this issue might be replicating in my Solaris. So I will replace my global.ini file with the .ini file in that thread.
I'll let you ...

Sustain pedal and Note-On messages choke the Solaris OS 1.4.1
I have been able to replicate this consistently, previously have experienced this issue in earlier OS revisions too. But, if I am playing the Solaris (locally or externally) and press down on the foot pedal while playing notes... it's almost as if I can 'omit' the note by pressing down on my sustain ...

Re: Solaris emulating Korg Wavestation
I think I may have seen one of these with a HxC floppy emulator drive installed, which is probably what I'd be more inclined to go with, if I could... very tempting, although I just recently acquired an Emulator II... so, I think I may be 'ok' for the minute... but I will sleep on it and it if is ...

Re: Solaris emulating Korg Wavestation
Ok, thanks for the response.
Well , a while after posting that... I just caved in and got myself a WaveStation AD anyway, was really impressed with the sound. So now I have a small JB autobiography series here..
Prophet 5 Rev 2
WaveStation AD
Solaris
..Anything else I need to add?!

Re: New Preset Bank by Brian Kehew
Big round of applause to Brian for his time and efforts to create this new bank of patches. These sounds are fantastic and it's incredibly generous of BK to share these with the forum.
I'm more impressed with these than any of the preset collections to come before... on any synth for that matter ...

Patch list-view selecting via data wheel issue
I'm sure there's better terminology, but I'm going to refer to the big round knob under the master volume as 'Data-wheel'...
So, this has been affecting me since I first got my Solaris, it's not a huge issue, but unsightly and easy to replicate..

Solaris emulating Korg Wavestation
Hi John,
I guess you're the best person to ask this query to...
There have been a few "atmospherics" that have 'haunted' me for years... I recently identified both of them from being from your Korg Wavestation: "Guardians", "Wave Song" and a couple of others.
So my question is 'Are those wave ...

Re: OS updates, bugfixes & feats
Hi John,
Just reporting a strange Sustain Pedal anomaly with 1.2.9:
LocalOff = On
SusPed1 = Sustain
Pol. = +
While depressing my external pedal in quick successions, the Hold LED flickers really quickly, and Hold is stuck ON.
I tried this with the Pol. = -, and a similar response, the Hold LED ...

Re: OS updates, bugfixes & feats
Wow
I really want my hands on V1.2.9 ....can I BETA test?!
like, the way I see it, I run into the same bugs that are in the currently loaded OS, a lot...
Won't be any less annoying than hitting new bugs
John, am I worthy ?!
(how exciting!)

Sorry about the delay in replying...
I'm getting CC's 17 & 16... appears to be CC#17 from vertical moves and 16 from horizontal moves.

Re: Closed:Channel AT via MIDI causes erroneous behaviour
Ok. Well I've always had Tx-NRPN and Rx-NRPN disabled, and the Joystick does generate messages even with Tx-NRPN disabled or enabled. The Ribbon does not generate anything with or without Tx-NRPN enabled.

Re: Closed:Channel AT via MIDI causes erroneous behaviour
I can't get the Solaris to listen to the Joystick or Ribbon messages either... it definitely generates the MIDI messages for a sequencer to record, but getting it to listen to them on playback is not happening. I have tried various techniques to find a work around, but to no avail. One thing I did ...

Re: Closed:Channel AT via MIDI causes erroneous behaviour
Not sure if there is a method for me to check on my AT anomaly... I can't seem to get my Solaris to listen to Aftertouch messages. My sequencer has recorded them down from the Solaris as "pressure" messages, but my Solaris is ignoring them on play back. When I play or record, I press down with some ...

Re: MIDI signal for joystick not accept
I just hit this MIDI joystick issue myself... And I'm a Logic X user. MIDI data has definitely been recorded from joystick movements, that's for sure... but the Solaris is ignoring the information or maybe the data has been misguided and is not firing back at the Solaris' intended joystick ...
