Ok, well if this helps provide more insight, I actually had a beta OS version of 1.3 (may have been 1.3.1) that JB sent me previous to this 1.4 update... so, I guess this issue might be replicating in my Solaris. So I will replace my global.ini file with the .ini file in that thread.

I have been able to replicate this consistently, previously have experienced this issue in earlier OS revisions too. But, if I am playing the Solaris (locally or externally) and press down on the foot pedal while playing notes... it's almost as if I can 'omit' the note by pressing down on my sustain ...

I think I may have seen one of these with a HxC floppy emulator drive installed, which is probably what I'd be more inclined to go with, if I could... very tempting, although I just recently acquired an Emulator II... so, I think I may be 'ok' for the minute... but I will sleep on it and it if is ...

Well , a while after posting that... I just caved in and got myself a WaveStation AD anyway, was really impressed with the sound. So now I have a small JB autobiography series here..

Big round of applause to Brian for his time and efforts to create this new bank of patches. These sounds are fantastic and it's incredibly generous of BK to share these with the forum.

I'm more impressed with these than any of the preset collections to come before... on any synth for that matter ...

I'm sure there's better terminology, but I'm going to refer to the big round knob under the master volume as 'Data-wheel'...

Just reporting a strange Sustain Pedal anomaly with 1.2.9:

LocalOff = On
SusPed1 = Sustain
Pol. = +

While depressing my external pedal in quick successions, the Hold LED flickers really quickly, and Hold is stuck ON.

Ok. Well I've always had Tx-NRPN and Rx-NRPN disabled, and the Joystick does generate messages even with Tx-NRPN disabled or enabled. The Ribbon does not generate anything with or without Tx-NRPN enabled.

I can't get the Solaris to listen to the Joystick or Ribbon messages either... it definitely generates the MIDI messages for a sequencer to record, but getting it to listen to them on playback is not happening.
