Re: "Crackling" sounds
I had that crackling too ....but, I've witnessed it appear and disappear in certain scenarios with my DAW. I am starting to think the crackling is not the Solaris, but in actual fact something on the receiving end of the digital signal. Get a second opinion, try another digital receiving device ...

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
I'm using my Solaris in the same manner as you Zahush - also using old school midi with local off & as a controller. My sync works fine (With Cubase 7) so maybe it is your unit.
Did you try downloading & reinstalling the latest system again in case it was corrupted?
I had a friend come over with ...

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Is this happening when you're routing midi (& our beloved NRPN's) thru Cubase and back to the Solaris? And does it stop when you unplug the Solaris midi input? BTW are you using USB or old school midi?
If you haven't already I suggest until we have resolved the Cubase NRPN issue that you disable ...

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Not sure why aftertouch is not causing it.
Never the less - i checked and checked again, and this does not happen when i engage aftertouch. It's also visible: when i move the joystick or modwhell, the bpm value on the display jumps all over the place even if i don't play a sound. When i apply ...

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Because Zahush76 is routing the Solaris MIDI back to itself, there's a MIDI clock loop going on - make sure ClkSrc (Clock Source) in your MIDI page is set to Internal or External - and NOT Send, otherwise the Solaris will be sending and receiving clocks at the same time, which will really confuse ...

Re: Soniccore XITE-1 Modular IV + Solaris + SWS 2.1
A bit off topic, but i wanted to ask you how do you like your BCF2000.
I'm asking since i recenly got the pair of BCR\BCF 2000 which i sort of bought on a whim.
Still haven't unpacked them, and i'm considering selling them and getting something like maschine instead.

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
You're both correct of course. It's obviousy my fault that my unit came out this way, and it's very clear i'm "enjoying" this situation.
Happy that everything is fine with your perfect solaris units.

Re: Subtle noise impurities apparent
Are you guys using the analog or SPDIF outputs?
As i've mentioned before - i get these crackles wether i use the analog outputs, digital outputs, or while listening to Solaris directly thru my headphones thru the headphone output.
So it sounds like that on all outs, and wether it's going thru my ...

I am being linked to this clip from a Scope DSP card user when clicking the link you provided.
Could you re post the link so I can see if I am having trouble here.
Would love to hear some Acid.
Thanks

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Update:
I noticed this doesn't happen when the local off is "off" (i.e. when the keyboard is routed directly to the synth), and does happen when the local off is "on". In that state - even if i simply play the keyboard and move the modwheel rapidly, the sound freezes and\or slows down, as if the ...

While i'm at it - here are a few acid lines from Solaris, being sequenced by d16 Phoscyon. Just checking the glide response, and tweaking a bit as i go along. Nothing fancy:

Re: Glide and Legato: am i overlooking something
I am not understanding what you mean, but maybe keep Legato Mode On, with the Reassign also On.
But under the Oscillator section pick 2 Oscillators to have Glide. Assign buttons 1 & 2 to their own Oscillator, one amount slight but noticable, the 2nd heavier.
Now you can still have the presets ...

Glide and Legato: am i overlooking something
Hi. I'm trying to configure a preset in a way that it has glide - but that the glide will only be triggered when i play Legato. That way when notes are not overlapping there won't be glide - and when they're connected there will be glide. Pretty standard stuff.
I've gone thru the different glide ...

If you're an owner - than you should get authorization to get in the owners zone.
Anyway, here are the links to some soundcloud clips of me playing simple chords on the Solaris, and you hear "crackles". Is this similar to what you have?
