Re: Current State of the Solaris OS and Ongoing Development
Go Galaxiesmerge!! Is all I can say
Mine Solaris is hiding under a dust sheet until it works with Cubase…
What would I like to see? Well everyone has discussed many upgrades, I suppose mine would be to have a reverb
but all I really want is working Midi, Midi,Midi with the ability to control ...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?
Hi John, may I please ask if you have any news for us about an OS update solving all these midi problems?
I don't mean to sound impatient (but I am!). Thanks.

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?
For me it's :
1) Parameter automation (NRPN) with DAW's
2) Recording joystick, ribbon, wheels via midi
3) Reverb
4) arp sync
But I'd settle for reliable midi communication even with just 5 or 10 assignable parameters to 7 bit controllers for now...
I've no problem paying for OS updates or even ...

Yes Weston, many of us are in the same situation as you!
Well as patience is a virtue hopefully Hermann will soon give Solaris the code to finally tame it for the studio environment!
My Xpander is starting to look a bit nervous

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
FYI the initial response from Steinberg is that NRPN's "Are a nightmare" !
But they are looking into the matter to see what can be done.

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
I'm using my Solaris in the same manner as you Zahush - also using old school midi with local off & as a controller. My sync works fine (With Cubase 7) so maybe it is your unit.
Did you try downloading & reinstalling the latest system again in case it was corrupted?

Re: Owners, Please Read!!
You will find the drum kits just to the left of the auto accompaniment auto fill button underneath the Solaris - turn it over and it's easy to see.

Re: I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Is this happening when you're routing midi (& our beloved NRPN's) thru Cubase and back to the Solaris? And does it stop when you unplug the Solaris midi input? BTW are you using USB or old school midi?
If you haven't already I suggest until we have resolved the Cubase NRPN issue that you disable ...

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
If you have an iPad and the Lemur app then maybe this NRPN template can be the start of a Solaris automator?
