Hi John,
Yes I am particularly involved in this one.
As for the Mutable Instruments topic, this is already a long story, as I had some contact and interesting discussions with Mutable Instruments at our early stage (especially around local subcontractor discussions for manufacturing) as ...

100th post and some news from Aodyo

Remembering the first time I meet John and the Solaris more than 10 years ago during the Musikmesse in Germany.

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas

I would see 3 main use for the 1U Rack:
- Solaris expander to get extra voices or workaround to have a kind of Multitimbral mode by stacking such units for those who have the Solaris keyboard (limited user base to ...

Re: Using CC1-5 and a Lag Processor
Any news/answer about this topic ?
I also do not aunderstand how to make the CC2 acting as a ModSource work. Looks like I do not get any influence on the sound from the CC2 control even after mapping it as a Mod Source for various destinations.
(I mean CC2 coming from the DIN MIDI input).

Re: Wish List For Next firmware update
i just want "guitar mode" which is not much different from poly aftertouch. Solaris is fantastic played from the continuum (mono only though) even the virus poops out when you send it continuum data, the Solaris is all like "no problemo, ill play that!"
in guitar mode, you are in the same preset ...

Re: development outside
That was also my point.
Hardware design and production is just a complete different job than VSTi design.
Moreover, hardware design and hardware production is also quite a different job.
Regarding available DSP platforms, they tend to disappear with the ever growing computer power.

Re: development outside
While discussing with Clemens Heppner, one of the U-He teammate, he told me they were thinking about changing their Diva Controller prototype to a true standalone hardware synth based on DSP.
Then I suggest him to meet SC team (especially as I heard about the GMI card) as they were just a few meters ...

Provided everything would be available for external control from a MIDI message (either CC, NRPN, or SySex...). And a lot is already in the NRPN list... That was the reason why I ask if there was any Sysex beside the huge NRPN list ...
