Hey, just so you know, on my unit the serial number sticker wasn't affixed to the instrument, but was included loose in the packet of invoice papers on the outside of the shipping box.
Stuck it on the synth myself!

Re: Will SOLARIS be updated to include full MINIMAX emulatio
I agree with JimmyV's comment that there is a "cool" psychological component to having emulations of classic synths actually being packaged and labeled intentionally as direct Minimoog, Prophet-5, Jupiter-8, etc. recreations, but it really is purely psychological. I think about all those cheap ...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
Update: John saw my post above about not having a serial number sticker, and shot me an email saying that there indeed should have been one on the unit. So they are mailing me the sticker to apply myself. And guess what? Serial # 00017 after all! Thanks John!

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
I was order #17, placed December 10, 2007. As for the serial number on my Solaris, there is NO sticker of any kind on the outside (unlike what appears to be a sticker on JimmyV's unit in the photos), but under the system info page on the main LCD I see "Serial 032dac5b". Might be that Sonic Core had ...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
I am super pleased to report that I received my white Solaris today! Bought it on December 10, 2007 and here it is finally on my doorstep October 25, 2011...and you know what? The wait was worth it! My first impressions out of the box were that the synth is gorgeous and the build quality is very ...

Hi John, I certainly agree that one shouldn't expect to get the exact same sound from dialing up a patch from an old VS into the Solaris, but to me it's more about breathing new life into those existing old patches and having a quick and painless way to import them as a sonic starting point. For ...

Solaris and old Prophet VS patch compatibility?
With the Solaris having the original VS waves onboard, and with the inclusion of a joystick or touchpad to do vector synthesis, seems like the Solaris can easily replicate the signal path of an original VS (and of course do much, much, more).
Has the idea of making the Solaris compatible with old ...

I say keep the VS waves grungy and true to their heritage. Isn't that the point in having them included? Cleaning them up would be on par with taking the CEM VCO emulations and altering the wave shapes to make them more clinically perfect saw/square/triangle...in other words, why then call it CEM ...

My opinion on the joystick vs. touchpad choice is I'd rather the Solaris have a joystick. I totally respect your points, but interestingly I favor the joystick for the same reasons you point out in favor for the pad! For example, in the dark I'd much rather be grabbing for a joystick and relying on ...

Hi everyone, this is my first post to the forums but I've been enthusiastically reading them since making my Solaris pre-purchase back in December '07.
First off, while I like the idea of a Signature Edition it's just icing on the cake of what will already be a must-own instrument. With that said ...
