John Bowen Synth Design

If I'm creating a patch that emulates an old synth I usually use a limited set of the facilities available (e.g. 2 oscillators, 1 filter, limited envelopes, LFOs etc).

Would it be possible to have a mode that limits the facilities available but gives you higher polyphony?

The solaris can play back samples and I believe that's soon to be improved.
There are also audio inputs, so how about giving it some sampling capability?

I'm not suggesting anything fancy, just basic recording capability and a way to set some basic parameters.
